This website used to violate copyright laws. It stole mods from the original authors. Then, the mods were uploaded to the webmaster’s own pay-for-download servers. The webmaster raked in the money. The original modder received nothing, while the former owner of this site could laugh all the way to the bank.
Most of the mods on this website were shared without permission. This is copyright theft. It was only the previous owner of this who made money from it. How much money? Well, here’s a moderate estimate from the site’s heydays:
- Website visitors per day: 30,000.
- Earnings: $3.00 per thousand visitors.
That’s $90 per day or a whopping $32,850 per year. And this is just from one site. Most of the webmasters who are stealing mods today have several sites. We’ve seen people who operate more than ten different mod stealing sites. They are quite likely earning $100,000 or more each year from sharing stolen mods.
And some of you still wonder why so many modders are fed up with sites like that?
The sad thing is that this still goes on today. Farming Simulator 17 mods and Farming Simulator 19 mods are stolen and uploaded to servers that only benefit the thieves. The mod authors don’t get a dime.
Do you support mod theft? Fine. Just keep on downloading mods from mod stealing sites like farmingsimulator19mods.com, farmingsimulator19mods.fr, fs19.lt, fs19mods.com, fs19.net, modhub.us, farming2015mods.com, modls19.com, fsmods17.com, farmingsimulator19mods.it, farmingmod.com, and so on.
But don’t come crying when one day there are no modders left to make Farming Simulator more fun. Because as long as these sites are allowed to operate, more and more modders are quitting. And the only reason these sites keep on sharing stolen mods is that players like you are downloading from them, while putting money in the wrong pockets.
Note that there are a few legit sites out there. Want to support modders? Want to encourage them to keep making fantastic mods for your game? Then please, get your mods from the legit sites instead. Here they are:
